Emerge Microcinema is a pop-up microcinema based in Cleveland, Ohio. Micro because our screening venues are typically smaller than a traditional theater. Pop-up because we “pop up” in venues that do not regularly show films.

We feel that films are meant to be a shared experience and try to enhance the experience by having the filmmakers available to discuss their work after the screenings.

Emerge also supports local artists by featuring local films as much as possible and by playing local music before and after the films. We hope to encourage and assist collaboration between filmmakers and musicians.
